Tylomelania patriarchalis reaches about 10 cm in length and actively works through the substrate in search of food. It develops surprising speed while doing so, yet it is rarely seen on the glass.
Fine gravel or sand suit it as substrate. It only goes for healthy plants when truly hungry. Rabbit snails have separate sexes and give birth to live young.
