Animals and plants differ in their demands on water parameters, tank size and tank mates. Please check the details in the tabs below before you buy. If you are unsure, just get in touch before ordering — we are happy to advise.
Boraras brigittae, also called mosquito rasbora, comes from Sumatra and the Malay Peninsula. Its base colour is reddish with striking black spots, and males are more intensely coloured and slimmer than females.
The mosquito rasbora likes to swim in larger groups in the middle region of the tank; keeping a shoal of at least 10 animals and a well planted tank support its wellbeing. It breeds without problems and produces relatively large fry.
