Panaqolus cf. maccus L 104, commonly called the clown pleco, arrives regularly in the trade from Colombia and comes from Colombia and Venezuela. Fully grown it reaches about 6 to 8 cm, making it suitable for smaller tanks from 60 cm.
The fish should be kept in a small group, with each animal getting its own small cave made of clay or similar material. A piece of soft wood is essential in the aquarium, as the catfish like to rasp on it and also need it for digestion. They eat dry food and granules as well as frozen food such as mosquito larvae, water fleas, artemia or krill.
