Before you order: is Cherax peknyi Rarität right for your tank?
Animals and plants differ in their demands on water parameters, tank size and tank mates. Please check the details in the tabs below before you buy. If you are unsure, just get in touch before ordering — we are happy to advise.
Cherax peknyi is a rarely offered crayfish species with a final size of about 12 cm. The animals are mostly active at night and rarely show themselves during the day, so ample hiding places are important.
The sexes can be told apart: females have noticeably weaker, narrower claws, while males show a small spine on the fifth walking leg pair.
