The Cherax sp. Ajamaru Green Grass has a greenish brown carapace with a weaker orange tone along the flanks. Its name comes from the strongly green colour variants. It grows to about 10 cm and is only rarely offered.
It is strongly nocturnal and needs plenty of hiding places. Females have distinctly weaker, narrower claws and two small oval openings at the base of the third pair of legs, males a small spine on the fifth pair of walking legs.
