Before you order: is JBL Sansibar ORANGE 5kg right for your tank?

Animals and plants differ in their demands on water parameters, tank size and tank mates. Please check the details in the tabs below before you buy. If you are unsure, just get in touch before ordering — we are happy to advise.

JBL Sansibar ORANGE is a natural substrate without artificial additives and looks very decorative in aquariums and aqua terrariums. The fine grain of 0.1 to 0.6 mm suits bottom sifting fish such as corydoras.

Combined with AquaBasis plus it makes a good base for strong plant growth. The sand is rather unsuitable for use with substrate heating cables.

We ship on working days only, by specialised animal courier, arriving within 24 hours of dispatch. The animals travel temperature-insulated and watertight, packed to suit the outside temperature.
