Neocaridina davidi var. "Blue Sapphire" is a beautifully blue coloured dwarf shrimp with a striking, intensely blue stripe down its back. It grows up to 3 cm and lives up to 3 years.
As with other dwarf shrimp, colour intensity varies depending on mood, water values and the individual animal, and not all animals show an intense blue. As a true omnivore it eats algae, fish food, flakes, tabs as well as special shrimp food, mulm and leaves.
